Fly friendly at YAPO

Apollo Bay Airfield is close to the township and residential areas. We ask visiting pilots to help keep aviation a welcome part of the Apollo Bay community.

Please Fly Friendly

  • Avoid unnecessary overflight of the township and residential areas where safe and practicable.

  • Minimise unnecessary aircraft noise.

  • Avoid repetitive flying in the vicinity of the airfield.

  • YAPO is not suitable for circuit training or touch-and-go operations.

  • Keep unnecessary ground running to a minimum.

  • Please be considerate during early morning and evening operations.

Apollo Bay is a challenging coastal airfield where weather conditions can significantly affect operations.

Safety always takes priority over noise considerations.

Thank you for flying friendly at Apollo Bay.
